1. Dog waste is NOT compostable. In order for it to be used as compost it must be treated in a specific manner. Please view: ftp://ftp-fc.sc.egov.usda.gov.
2. Dog waste is toxic. A single gram (dime size) contains 23 million canine fecal coliform (ecoli), hookworms, various parasites, and dangerous bacteria.
3. Dog waste IS NOT a fertilizer and actually kills grasses and plants.
4. Undisposed of dog waste pollutes our environment and can filter into our water supply. It is the third largest contributor to water contamination.
